Love to me is i guess unconditional positive regard for another person.  it is caring about that other person so much so that u would do anything for them and that u still care about them no matter how different they may be.  I also believe that love is something that u work on but it is given to u.  Everyone has the ability to love its just that sometimes things get in the way and make it seem as if we dont love.  Although everyone has the ability to love and be loved some dont use it wisely and people need to realize that love is something that takes time and practice at...what i mean by that is that u cant just love someone and call it good.  You have to spend more time with them, get to know them, and put time and effort into the relationship.  Love is a very powerful word; it has as much power as hate and in some ways is the same.  Love is what u feel it is and no one can tell u otherwise.  Just my thoughts though....ttyl...
